Demi is an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist who has done extensive work in the hospital, school and private sector.

 

 

 

Demi is an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist who has done extensive work in the hospital, school and private sector. Demi graduated from La Trobe University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. She has worked extensively with babies, toddlers and children through to adolescence in musculoskeletal and neurological fields, including disability and complex needs.

 

She approaches her sessions with passion warmth, to assist children to engage in the session. She enjoys working with babies from birth with post-birth complications, gross motor delays and diagnosed conditions. 

She believes that working collaboratively with the family brings the best outcome for the child. She is also experienced in wheelchair and assistive technology prescription and the NDIS framework.

Demi is a mum of 2 delightful boys; a 4 and 2 year old. She therefore understands the challenges of engaging a child and the importance of building a program that fits into the busy schedules of families. Demi speaks Greek, loves spending time with her family and enjoys keeping fit and active!

 

Demi has completed a wide range of Paediatric courses, including but not limited to Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination training, The Paediatric Foot (Orthopaedic Research UK), Enhancing Skills in Paediatric Physiotherapy (Monash University), Paediatric Physiotherapy Level 1 Aquatic Physiotherapy Level 1 (APA)​, TEDI Training Program: Telehealth for Early Detection and Intervention for Infants with Developmental Disabilities (Melbourne University), Orthopaedic Management of Cerebral Palsy at (Royal Children’s Hospital)​ and Movement Disorders In Children (The Royal Children's Hospital).
